Natural landscape in Bambu Indah Resort
Bambu Indah is a delightfully designed hotel, full of original flourishes, bamboo bridges, cascading water and lovely rooms. We stayed in Sumba House, which was a wonderful representation of a Sumba village house - we loved the ikat furnishings and design. Our young children loved the ladder up to the second sleeping area in our room and the bamboo lift in the main hotel bar which brought them out lower down the valley. The landscaping is enchanting - each morning going to breakfast felt like setting off on a jungle adventure, involving walking through rice paddies by the reception area to descending the verdant valley and crossing rivers. We ate breakfast there, which was very good. The multiple natural pools at the bottom of the valley were deliciously cool, and the sound of rushing river water was wonderfully peaceful. Lots of very nice hang out areas around the pools, which made a great place to stay with our children. The hotel will not be for everyone (see other comments below), and while we loved it we also thought after creaking around on the bamboo flooring in our room that two nights was about the right amount of time to appreciate it! It's not often we come across such a wonderfully unique place to stay.

Easily the most incredible place I’ve ever stayed. I asked Chat GPT to find me an eco friendly resort in Bali and this was the first to come up woowoo!! After deeply reading through Bambu Indah’s website, I quickly became fascinated about the concept and integration of living in nature. This place is truly one of a kind- the service, food, rooms, amenities, employees and everything are all reasons why! I stayed in the Starling Room with my husband and it was the perfect amount of space for the two of us. We booked through Booking.com for a little discount too which was helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor shower and all the natural pools sprinkled through the resort. There is so much land to explore in this jungle resort! Walk across all the cool bamboo bridges, play in the river, and don’t forget to find the hidden underground tunnels with bathrooms!! Complimentary breakfast was delicious and our fave way to start each day. We booked services/experiences outside of the resort bc they are a bit pricey here. Otherwise, this was the best stay EVER 11/10

Bambù Indah is a beautiful complex of small pavilions nested in the jungle in front of a river. Beautiful bar overlooking the rice fields and beautiful river area with one of the two restaurants. If you don’t have issues with walking a bit to reach your room and if you love being surrounded by wild beautiful nature, you should book one of the tents or moon house. I loved it. There are also villas that are less far from the reception/pool area and easier to reach. Very nice overall :) we also dined at Tembaga restaurant with our two friends who both live in Bali since many years and came to visit us for dinner- it was really delicious and well prepared/refined Indonesian food!

We stayed two nights at Bambu Indah and it was definitely not enough. We would have loved to stay longer. We were struck with the nature from the moment we arrived. The feeling being here is out of this world, the staff is the kindest, they arranged everything for us from manicure to a silver jewelry workshop. The food at the River Warung was delicate, full of flavors, and very tasty. We got to try two different types of houses during our stay. Both were very well furnished and decorated, super clean. We loved the sound of nature around us. It’s a perfect stay that went beyond our expectations, we will come back !

Everything was extraordinary. The property is unique in its concept and implementation. Bamboo architecture is everywhere: from the rooms and villas to the restaurants, the incredible lift cut into the hillside and the bridges over the rivers. The jungle surrounds and views of the rice terraces are wonderful. The pools by the river have place to sit and relax and are cool and refreshing. The food was the best we had in Bali. The staff were very helpful, friendly and informative. Amongst those we spoke with were Hendra in the restaurant and Dea and Wati at reception.
